Invasion Ecology At The Macroscale
Important knowledge gaps remain in our understanding of patterns and processes of invasion, despite an extensive body of research dedicated to this phenomenon. Highly-debated topics in invasion ecology could benefit from a macrosystems perspective. In my research, I aim to provide novel insights into highly-debated invasion questions by approaching these questions with a macrosystems perspective. In other words, I use a broad variety of statistical methods and nationwide datasets to study large-scale and cross-scale patterns and processes of invasion, as well as of other socioecological conservation challenges.
Currently, I am a member of the 2021 cohort of the University of Illinois at Chicago's Bridge to the Faculty Scholar Program, through which I am hosted by the Department of Biological Sciences.
